Sex Abuse detectives are working closely with Patrol officers to ensure that registered sex offenders on parole or probation for crimes against minors are in compliance with Halloween restrictions.  Detectives will provide addresses of registered sex offenders to officers for potential verification checks.  The Board of Probation and Parole has issued the following guidelines for these offenders:

Anyone who suspects a sex offender is not in compliance with these Halloween restrictions is urged to contact the Sex Offender Registry at 880-3610.

Additionally, Police officers will be on Halloween alert in neighborhoods throughout Nashville Friday evening and will take very seriously any attempts to scare citizens by giving children harmful candy items or by committing any type of disruptive behavior.

 Parents are urged to closely monitor their children’s trick-or-treat activities and to keep in mind these safety recommendations:
