Metro Police patch

A man dressed as Santa robbed SunTrust Bank’s 4809 Old Hickory Boulevard branch this morning.

He entered the bank at 10 a.m. and demanded money from the teller at gunpoint. The teller complied. The man fled in a gray midsize car from the nearby Hermitage Church of Christ parking lot on Lebanon Pike.

The suspect is a white man with brown hair who is approximately six feet tall. He wore a Santa suit, including hat, fake white beard and mustache, and dark sunglasses.

Anyone who has information about the bank robber is urged to contact Detective Keith Sutherland with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or online at www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone or text message can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
